Portuguese Minister of Finance Vítor Gaspar arrived in Beijing on Thursday for meetings with his Chinese counterpart Xie Xuren and the governor of the Chinese central bank Zhou Xiaochuan.
Gaspar’s 24-hour visit coincides with the last day of Portuguese Minister for Foreign Affairs Paulo Portas’ visit to Beijing.
Gaspar returns to Portugal on Friday while Portas heads on to Hong Kong and Macau in the last leg of his eight-day journey to China.
