After some 30,000 protestors took part in Portugal’s Communist-backed CGTP Labor Movement demonstration in Porto on 9 June, they are expecting an “even bigger” turnout in Lisbon Saturday, the organization said.
The motto for the demonstration is “impoverishment and exploitation of the workers, in defense of the rights, salaries, social functions of the State and the public services and employment”.
The protest is scheduled to begin mid-afternoon in central Lisbon.
