Ronaldo followed Eusébio’s steps and won the prize for the top goalscorer.
Cristino Ronaldo, the Portuguese forward who is one of the brightest starts of Real Madrid, was handed today the Golden Boot award, after scoring 40 goals for his team in the last season.
This is the second time Cristiano wins the Golden Boot. His first was in 2008, when he netted 31 goals in the Premier League for Manchester United.
“This is an award for all the Portuguese”, said Cristiano, after receiving the boot from the hands of Eusébio and Alfredo di Steffano.
The Golden Boot is awarded each season to the top goalscorer in all European leagues.
