FIFA Awards: Ronaldo and Mourinho shortlisted for Ballon d’Or
It could be Ronaldo’s second win while Mourinho is hoping to hang on to the award for another year.
Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo and José Mourinho are among the finalists for the 2011 edition of the FIFA Ballon d’Or, the highest individual award for best player and best coach in the world, respectively.
Both have already won the Ballon D’Or once – Ronaldo in 2008 when playing for Manchester United and Mourinho last year when coaching Internazionale.
Madeira-born forward Cristiano Ronaldo who currently plays for Real Madrid is up against 2010 Ballon D’Or winner Spanish midfielder Xavi (FC Barcelona) and Argentine forward Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona).
In addition to José Mourinho – who was crowned best coach in the world last year – the shortlist also includes FC Barcelona’s Pep Guardiola and Manchester United’s Alex Ferguson.
The winner will be announced on Jan 9 in Zurich, Switzerland.

What moral justification have anyone to hate another because of there unique tempraments? We are who we are by nature! Cr7 and Jose do not deserve the hatred of many! At least, accusing another of pride is pride itself! Can we in the name of ‘bad temper’( and we all have our share) undo or downplay another’s achievements? It is grossly unfair to be apt to judge others subjectively!
