Crisis: BCP could sell off Greek operation
The English-language website of Greek newspaper Kathimerini reports that BCP is likely to follow in the footsteps of French banks and sell off its Greek operation, Millennium Bank.
Portuguese bank BCP is planning to sell off its Greek operation, just like French Société Générale and Cypriot Bank of Cyprus, the English-language website of Greek newspaper I Kathimerini reported on Friday.
According to the site, which does not quote any sources, BCP will follow the same model as that used by French Crédit Agricole who are recapitalising Emporiki bank SA before selling it.
Société Générale is planning to sell Geniki bank and BCP could be selling Millennium Bank, which is its Greek operation.
