Bank of Portugal: Bad loans bottoming out
The percentage of bank loans not being repaid properly fell to 15.3% in September, the lowest number since March, the Bank of Portugal said Tuesday.

The percentage of bank loans not being repaid fell to 15.3% in September, the lowest number since March, the Bank of Portugal (BdP) said Tuesday.
Loans to households were worth just under €145bn, €116bn (80%) of which had to do with mortgages and €28bn for consumer loans.
Non-performing mortgages were slightly down on previous months at 6.2%
Consumer credit was performing much worse, with over 17% of loans not being paid back properly.
