Aircraft: Government chairs airframe partnership signing ceremony

The Portuguese ministers of Economy and Defence, Álvaro Santos Pereira and José Pedro Aguiar Branco, are to chair the signing of partnership agreements between Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer and domestic firms OGMA and EEA for the military KC-390 aircraft.

A Ministry of the Economy statement said “EEA – Empresa de Engenharia Aeronáutica (Aeronatic engineering firm) will develop three segments of the airframe”.

The segments will be designed and tested, then built in Portugal by OGMA which will also produce the central fuselage of the aircraft.
