16th Upper Minho International Folklore Festival

This international festival of traditional folklore of the region of Upper Minho begins on Monday, 27 August, in the city of Viana do Castelo, with a variety of renowned groups from countries like Argentina, Germany and Spain coming to the north of Portugal.

Open Minigolf European Championships

Forget about Portugal’s famous greens. Promoted by the European Minigolfsport Federation, this year’s European minigolf competition takes place in the city of Porto, a chance to see more than 300 people and 15 countries compete in this often underrated sport.

Bush

British alternative rock band Bush, who disbanded in 2002, have since regrouped and to delight of their fans are currently touring the world, performing at Lisbon’s Coliseu dos Recreios on Sunday, 2 September. The gig will be focusing on their latest album “The Sea of Memories”, but also promises to revive some of their old hits from the 90s.
