16th Upper Minho International Folklore Festival

This international festival of traditional folklore of the region of Upper Minho begins on Monday, 27 August, in the city of Viana do Castelo, with a variety of renowned groups from countries like Argentina, Germany and Spain coming to the north of Portugal.

Open Minigolf European Championships

Jack White

Former White Stripes guitarist and frontman Jack White returns to Portugal, this time for a solo performance at Lisbon’s Coliseu dos Recreios. His new album “Blunderbluss” should be the backbone of this much awaited for concert.

Rui Vargas and Yen Sung

Portuguese DJs Rui Vargas and Yen Sung, two of Lisbon’s Lux club most acclaimed residents, are a great choice to mark the opening of the post-summer season on the first day of September.

Bush

British alternative rock band Bush, who disbanded in 2002, have since regrouped and to delight of their fans are currently touring the world, performing at Lisbon’s Coliseu dos Recreios on Sunday, 2 September. The gig will be focusing on their latest album “The Sea of Memories”, but also promises to revive some of their old hits from the 90s.
